Volunteer at the Customer Service Revolution

Our team of  rock star volunteers are an integral part of the experience and energy provided to attendees at the Customer Service Revolution.

What is the Customer Service Revolution?

The Customer Service Revolution is the leading education and networking event for leaders and entrepreneurs who want to win and compete based on service. This year we’ll come together October 6-8, 2020 at the Huntington Convention Center downtown to reinvent service, get inspired, and learn the best practices and innovations from world-class organizations. Our speakers and faculty will walk organizations through real-world strategies, tactics, and tools to make Customer Service a competitive advantage. 

Why do we need your help?

We are searching for individuals with a world-class service mindset who are looking to learn more to assist us in providing a world-class experience for our attendees. We are looking for a team that will help support us at the event with wayfinding onsite, registration, mobile app support, session transitions, and other miscellaneous tasks. 

What is expected of you?

We expect prompt attendance for staff reporting times, attendance on a training webinar approximately one month prior to the event, compliance with basic service standards that will be addressed on the training, and a professional appearance. We will provide shirts to be worn while on duty that are to be worn with black, grey, or khaki dress slacks (no jeans please). 

What will we provide for you?

We will provide all training necessary for your position, your staff shirt, access to attend any of the sessions (when not actively serving in a role), complimentary downloads of the audio recordings captured at the event, reimbursement of parking fee each day, a light breakfast and full lunch each day of the conference, and access to beverages all day (did someone say coffee?). If you do not already have copies of John R. DiJulius’ books you will receive a set of those as well!

When is support needed?

The conference opening reception is the evening of Tuesday October 6th, with the main conference event taking place October 7th & 8th. 

Staffing is needed on Tuesday October 6th from 6pm to 9:30pm, Wednesday October 7th from 6:45am to 5:30pm, and Thursday October 8th from 7:30am to 4pm. 

If you are unable to attend the entire event, our highest needs for staffing are Tuesday October 6th from 6pm to 9:30pm, and Wednesday October 7th from 6:45am to 2:30pm.

If you are selected as a volunteer, there are a few basic commitments we require. If you are unable to meet these requirements, we suggest you purchase a ticket and enjoy the event as an attendee.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Comfort with high public visibility. Outgoing personalities are a plus.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Events experience a plus.
  • Personal awareness and emotional maturity.
  • Flexibility.
